Another great story by Ms. Deane with her unique, quirky style of characters and situations that are brought to life in this tale of mystery, suspense, threats, kidnapping, and rescue. When a private BDSM group has threats made against some of the littles that participate in a pageant, the local police force seeks help from an outside force in a different town. They need two undercover cops to pose as a Daddy Dom and his little girl to keep the players safe. This story had me laughing out loud at the antics of Alex and all the things she says. She “makes wisecracks and couldn’t verbalize the correct form of an idiom.” It had my heart breaking for her as a daughter who lost her father, a highly decorated officer, and how she never felt she was good enough or what he wanting in a child.Sergeant Connor Doyle wouldn’t be where he is in life if it wasn’t for relatives that took him in after the death of his parents, and the help of the man who became his partner and mentor, Frank Makowski. He has some hidden secrets that will come in handy when placed undercover on a new case, along with Alex Makowski. I had a wonderful time reading this book! Pip made me, literally, laugh out loud! I also wanted to hug her and let her know she'd be all right. She hit the jackpot with Connor! No spoilers from me, read and enjoy!
A fun, fast-paced story that’s laugh-out-loud funny at times, while still being poignant and smoking hot. A new twist on the Daddy Dom fantasy, while bringing in both suspense and humor, this read is sure to please!
The greatest part of this was the preparation for the actual mission. The way Alex and Keith read books watch videos and discussed them together cracked me up. I loved it when playing became reality for the two of them. Alex found what she needed and then discovered it’s what she wanted all along. And of course they cracked the case and live happily ever after!
Most of the daddy type stories I've read have kind of skeeved me out a bit... or a lot. This wasn't one of them. It was an enjoyable, fun read.
Best read in a long time. I so enjoyed this book!
The writing was smooth and flowed so well I found it hard to put down. Ms. Deane also took the time to explain the feelings of the characters so I understood why they felt the way they did. Looking forward to reading more by this author.
ok. well so I knew this book would be good, because, well, all her books are good. This book wasn't good though, it was fabulous, omg,amazing and terrific. The characters were very well done and believable. the storyline twisty enough to be entertaining and abit edge of your seat, but not so far fetched to be unbelievable. I highly recommend and am really thinking about getting back out there to find a daddy interested in a slightly....well maybe more than slightly bratty little girl!
Whenever Katherine Deane releases a new book - it's always an automatic one-click for me. I don't typically go for contemporaries or age play, but when she writes a book, I always treat myself and am rewarded because of it. She has the ability to create deep relatable characters and an intense gripping plot line that is an incredible ride from page one to the end.
Alex is a strong independent woman who has had a rough go of it and is a woman in a man's world on the police force. Connor is a friend on the force with her and they have a history, but have been attracted to one another for a long time. Through an undercover assignment, they are paired together to infiltrate a kink party where some of the members have been receiving death threats.
The author certainly did her research. She incorporates Eve and Tony, as well as Erica Scott (all of which I've met personally) and the video company Shadowlane which made me feel incredibly happy and gave me warm little tingles.
The age play is sweet and extra hot. Definitely one click this one today and you won't regret it.
